This Native Healer, who died in 2009, belonged to a group of Batua that fled the war in eastern Congo and lost two thirds of their people before crossing the border into the Semuliki Valley of western Uganda. They were displaced again when the Ugandan portion of the Ituri rainforest was declared a National Park.
